The Navajo Rangers (formed 1957〔(Navajo Nation - Natural Resource Law Enforcement -Navajo Rangers ) at USAcops.com〕) are an organization of the Navajo Nation in the Southwestern United States, which maintain and protect the tribal nation's public works and natural resources.〔 - ''Navajo rangers build roads, dams, and other tribal works and operate a separate park service and tribal highway and works departments''〕 The Rangers form a part of the Navajo Nation Department of Resource Enforcement (within the Division of Natural Resources), and as of 2007 consisted of 26 officers divided into three districts.
